Rod Swanson has many years of experience performing solo guitar in concerts and in the hospitality industry in Western Canada. During that time, he has developed a wide repertoire to accommodate many situations and requests, including bands, ensembles, and orchestras. 

Rod always adds new music for not only different performance situations, but especially for students he teaches. He has been teaching for many years with experience in the regions of Ottawa, Winnipeg, and surrounding areas, and, as of the past number of years, presently in the Vancouver and Fraser Valley area. 

Furthermore, Rod teaches online classes for students in Ottawa, Toronto, Mexico, and different regions in North America. He has taught students that were classified as top performers in the Provincial Festivals, as well as local in local ones, and many of Rod’s students have taken the Royal Conservatory exams.  

Rod’s strong classical guitar background and perfect pitch not only allows him to perform, but also to play other music styles in pop groups, as well as arrange music for different lessons according to students’ needs. 

Rod teaches instruments such as banjo, mandolin, and ukulele for children and adults' groups, but also offers one-on-one private lessons. He is a professional that plays pipe organ and keyboards in churches, in Chilliwack. Over the years, he gained experience of how to help students with different needs and special situations that make music enjoyable, no matter what a person’s journey or dream may be.  

At G&G Music, Rod teaches guitar, ukulele, piano, banjo, and mandolin lessons.
